Shortcut Romeo is a 2010 Bollywood comedy film directed by David Dhawan, starring Govinda, Ajay Devgn and Asin. This movie is the sequel to the 2000 movie Jodi No.1 , in which Govinda played a supporting role. In this movie, Rocky Singh aka Romeo has been released from prison and wants to win his girlfriend back who had left him while he was in jail for two years. He also wants to get back at his arch-rival Rocky Roy who has been living with her while he was away. The two rival gangs start fighting for control of the city which includes the local police. Romeo enters into an agreement with the local police chief to help him in his gang war. He soon gets into trouble because he is not sure if his latest batch of goons are loyal to him or to Roy. Because of this he ends up in jail again, but when he is released, his arch-rival Rocky is in jail too.The movie has received positive reviews from critics and garnered over 2 crore rupees at box office in its opening weekend.
